Film can dull a blade edge quickly; and a dull blade can tear film.Fill a spray bottle with a soapy water solution: to 1qt. bottled water, add 1/4 tsp of liquid soap. Avoid using concentrated or degreasing detergents. If you can't find proper liquid soap, the clean water is also OK for the solution.Remove any caulk, paint or glue debris that may be stuck to the window.8 STEPS OF THE INSTALLATION:Measure and record the dimensions the target glass.Clean the glass thoroughly.Add 1+ inch on every side when cutting the film so you have excess film to trim away.Peel off the backing liner.Generously spray the soapy water both on the glass and the window film.Place the film on the wet glass, adjust the position of the window film.Using a plastic squeegee or card, begin squeegeeing the water and air out from under the film.Trim excess material away with a VERY sharp razor or craft knife, leaving a 1/16" wide gap around the edges of the film.
